CBD מבודד מול CBD בספקטרום רחב

If you ever read through an ingredient list of any CBD product, you may have noticed that CBD is either described as ‘CBD Isolate’ and ‘Full Spectrum CBD’. There is a difference between these two types, and this difference lies in the way CBD is extracted from the plant. A hemp plant contains hundreds of active compounds (Cannabinoids, Terpenses, and Flavonoids) of which the most famous – CBD and THC – are just two. During the extraction process, these other compounds can either be discarded or left in the formula of the product:

  • CBD Isolate doesn’t contain any other Cannabinoids, terpenses or flavonoids other than CBD.
  • Full Spectrum CBD contains all the active compounds in the hemp plant.

Both of these varieties have their own advantages and disadvantages, and the type that will work best for you boils down to individual preference. Below we list some features that will help you decide which one might be best for you:

CBD Isolate

This is the purest form of CBD that contains up to 90% of Cannabidiol and no THC, which means that it is best for those who don’t want to have any THC in their products or those who live in an area where Cannabis is illegal. CBD isolate is tasteless and flavorless, which makes it excellent for everyone who wants to use it in cooking or dislike the smell and taste of hemp. CBD isolate is also the best to those who are sensitive or allergic to THC, other Cannabinoids or compounds contained in hemp.

Full Spectrum CBD

Full Spectrum CBD has become more popular in the past few years, ever since a 2005 research article on CBD found that other Cannabinoids seem to support and boost the effectiveness of CBD – an observation that came to be known as the entourage effect. Apart from the entourage effect, full spectrum CBD is also more natural, since the isolation of CBD is an extra processing step that is left out when making full spectrum CBD. Finally, the dose of THC in full spectrum CBD products is less than 0.3%, a purely trivial dose that is very unlikely to cause any psychoactive effect or show up during a drug test. So, if you don’t have to abide by strict Cannabis laws where you live and want to experience the increased capabilities of CBD, full spectrum CBD is your choice. Keep in mind, however, that compared to CBD isolate products, full spectrum CBD products typically have a strong aroma and taste that some people might find unpleasant.

We offer both products that contain full spectrum CBD and CBD isolate. The variety of CBD used in a product will be printed on the packaging and specified in the description of each product on our website.
